Though, most notably, Leah is special because she provided a space where I could feel safe after a series of confidence-breaking events prior to her ownership. Accepting fear while in the saddle is one of the biggest undertakings an equestrian can face. With Leah, she gracefully allowed me to make mistakes, to freeze or wrestle with my insecurities all while accepting me for who I was in that exact moment. Competition accolades are glorious, and contribute to many special memories I share with her. But at the end of the day, it was Leah who restored my bravery within riding itself. Our connection is what truly matters the most because without her, I wouldn’t be the woman or dressage rider or horsewoman I am today."
