One of the things I miss about my brick and mortar location is creating dramatic images with studio lighting. One of my biggest inspirations has been the use of light and shadows in old photographs from the golden age of Hollywood. While I have been successful using natural light to create high key white backgrounds and dramatic black backdrops for my fine art portraits, there are many variables that have left me longing for the control I had in the studio. So, a few weeks ago, I dusted off my old equipment, ordered a few missing parts, and began to play. My creative spirit has been renewed and I am excited about bringing the original vision for my work back to life.
