"Marley is Czech Warmblood/Shire and was born on April 20, 2021 under dramatic circumstances. I was at work keeping a close eye on mama Saffron on the camera and I knew it was time. I summoned some incredible friends to help, but despite both front legs being out, it became apparent that the rest of Marley was not coming. Soon mama became worn out and the decision was made to take Saffron to Waller Equine. As I left work headed to the vet clinic, I knew it was a matter of saving the mares life at this time.  As I arrive I see Saffron on the ground with huge amounts of blood around her. There was also an enormous foal on the ground... an enormous breathing and living foal. The size of her immediately got her the nickname The MEG(ladon).  Her barn name Marley was given to her by Terri Miller who underwent considerate stress during this whole day and she found it appropriate given the 4/20 birth day. Since Saffron needed to have time to wake up and get out of anesthesia, Marley spent her first 4-5 hours of life alone in a stall with all the humans. This has made her the sweetest, most trusting and human oriented horse I have ever owned. Now at almost 4, she’s smart and willing under saddle and I enjoy her every day."
